If you enjoy solving performance bottlenecks and making SQL code more efficient and readable, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:

- Analyze and improve existing SQL code for readability and performance
- Work with SQL Server execution plans to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate indexing strategies
- Utilize Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and SQL window functions in query development
- Collaborate with data/reporting teams to convert dashboard SQL (from tools like Power BI or Tableau) into reusable SQL Server views
- Ensure that database code adheres to performance and scalability standards
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server 2019–2022
- Strong understanding of SQL window functions, CTEs, and query optimization techniques
- Experience refactoring deeply nested SQL views or complex subqueries
- Ability to read and interpret execution plans and recommend indexing improvements
- Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau — specifically, understanding how to extract SQL from dashboards and turn them into SQL views
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, readable code
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Knowledge of data warehousing or ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with source control for SQL (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
