Job Purpose and Role
A Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating and administering content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to build an audience and ensure customer engagement. The Specialist may also monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create basic graphics, memes and other digital in Canva to be used in job posting or other mediums.
- Post content to various digital platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and other online sites.
- Coordinate company website updates and upload new blog content.
- Project manage content calendar, working with stakeholders to obtain or produce content.
- Identify and participate in industry forums to expand brand image and awareness.
- Craft and send messages on company updates or blasts within CRM.
- Maintain current contact list, export and import contacts to digital channels to increase outreach.
- Complete other administrative marking/branding tasks as directed (ie ordering business cards, updating templates).
- Edit video/snapshots to be utilized on other platforms.`
- Coordinate paid ad opportunities Other projects, as directed by the Director of Marketing.
- Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience in social media marketing and administrative operations.
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge with graphic design tools such as Canva.
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Full Time, EST
