Job Purpose and Role

The Financial Analyst role will analyze past financial and statistical data of the organization and industry to spot trends and assess risks, which helps the business predict outcomes supporting business decisions, identifying revenue/purchase opportunities and making investment recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis by collecting, interpreting, and evaluating financial data from multiple sources.
• Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop financial forecasts, projections, and annual budgets to assist in strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Performance Evaluation: Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analysis, financial statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs), for internal and external stakeholders.
• Financial Modeling: Build financial models to analyze and evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and financial feasibility studies.
• Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and provide recommendations based on financial viability and risk assessment.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures, cost drivers, and cost-saving initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and improve profitability.
• Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, department heads, and senior management to provide financial insights, advice, and support for decision-making.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure financial practices and processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor analysis to provide insights into the financial implications and potential opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Additional certifications like CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar finance role, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Financial Analysis Skills: Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Knowledge: Sound understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial metrics. Familiarity with financial software and tools.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulousness and accuracy in financial analysis, reporting, and data interpretation.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling software, and data visualization tools.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex financial issues and provide practical solutions.
• Ethics and Integrity: High ethical standards, confidentiality, and a commitment to conducting financial analysis with integrity and professionalism.
