Job Purpose and Role

A Bookkeeper oversees a company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recording day-to-day transactions such as income and outgoings, and posting them to various accounts
• Processing payments and checks
• Conducting daily banking activities
• Producing various financial reports
• Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements.
• Handling monthly payroll using accounting software.
• Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
• Maintain contact lists in the CRM and follow up with customers to continue relationships
• Other accounting related tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
• At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
• Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.

Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week (Flexible as needed)
