Job Purpose and Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records across a variety of industries, utilizing tools such as QuickBooks and Excel. This is a non-client-facing role, with a primary focus on accurately recording and organizing financial transactions. The ideal candidate should be adept at handling a high volume of bookkeeping tasks and must be comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for a variety of clients, ensuring accurate and timely entry of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and receivable balances.
- Maintain general ledgers, adjusting journal entries, and other financial records.
- Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage and process payroll as required.
- Assist with tax preparation tasks by organizing and inputting tax-related data (no tax calculations required).
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.
- Assist with the setup of new client accounts and bookkeeping processes.
- Provide support for audits or financial reviews as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or accounting environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software; experience with additional platforms is a plus.
- Experience with bank reconciliations.
- Experience working with clients across various industries.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with U.S. accounting practices and tax preparation processes.
- Effective communicator, especially in team settings.
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. The work schedule will follow Eastern Standard Time (EST), with at least 3-4 hours overlapping with Pacific Standard Time (PST) for training and collaboration.
