Job Purpose and Role

As a Business Development Representative, this role is centered on research-based business development and requires a true hunter who will willingly build an environment of success. It demands innovation and creativity to identify potential leads in new territories, develop regional lead maps, establish connections, conduct discovery calls, and facilitate introductions. The ideal candidate will independently shape their work environment and collaborate closely with the CEO to recommend tools and resources essential for our growth and scaling efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and strategize on corporate accounts, develop and action a communication plan (via phone, email, LinkedIn, video,etc.) to generate a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Build a repeatable process and document each step that has proven successful.
  • Research and recommend tools and resources needed to be successful in this role. 
  • Conduct high-level conversations with C-suite executives about business goals, customer engagement and marketing challenges/opportunities with a view to understanding and ‘qualifying’ the opportunity.
  • Research and develop lead maps for outreach.
  • Establish contact with identified leads through outbound calling, networking, relationship building and e-mail.
  • Qualify leads and share relevant marketing materials/collateral to develop the lead.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects, addressing their inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and key performance indicators
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of sales collateral, proposals, and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a business development role.
  • Proven track record of successful sales accomplishments.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with Sales Navigator is a plus.

Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week (Shift is within the Central Time Zones)
